When provided with the necessary service literature, has the technical expertise to service, perform maintenance and repair most:
DX equipment up to 100 tons
Packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 150 tons
Water source heat pumps and associated equipment
Computer room type units with self-contained humidifiers and controls
Gas fired and electric heating systems found in commercial equipment up to 150 tons
Air handling equipment including VAV systems typically found in larger commercial systems
Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments and adjusts mechanisms such as
valves, controls, and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in system
Provides repair of requested equipment which includes replacement or adjustment of defective or
work parts/components in order to return systems to fully operational
Performs proper evaluation and diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment at customer sites; which may
include bringing questionable situations with equipment and/or customers to the immediate supervisor's attention
Performs site start-up services for newly installed commercial equipment
Consistently contacts base after each call, keeping the dispatcher informed at all time as to your job status, checking in at the end of the day and getting next day job assignment before leaving for the day
Performs scheduled preventative maintenance services as determined by customer
Performs cleaning of condenser and evaporator coils, fan and ductwork
Inspects, adjusts and replaces fan belts on motors
Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source
Requirements

initiative; and ability to work in both a team and individual environment, while consistently adhering to Operating Procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
High School or Trade School Graduate or GED
Holds a Universal Refrigerant Card (Type I or Universal)
Commercial experience
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level determined by management
Must maintain a flexible working schedule, including weekend on-call rotation for stand by
emergency service per rotation schedule
Appearance must be clean and neat at all times
Truck and all equipment must be clean at all times
Abide by safety rules and regulations, including courteous and defensive driving
Responsible for maintaining company tools in accordance with company policies and procedures
