To make sure you don't put yourself at risk, unplug your refrigerator from the socket before you start.
Locate the thermostat, unscrew the screws, remove the clips, and carefully remove the cover plate.
Using pliers, slowly disconnect the two wire connectors of the thermostat from the spade or pin terminals. Then loosen the fixing screw or clips that hold the thermostat in place and slide out the evaporator tube.
Once the old thermostat has been removed, fix the new thermostat to the evaporator tube and connect the wires to the terminals. Reattach the panel cover you removed before.
